The Mole Story

Hello! I am a Geographer and teacher living with my family in Reigate, Surrey. I’ve lived near the River Mole most of my life and have developed an interest in it especially since the 2013 floods when I wrote a series of articles featuring the Mole which gained interest and Radio 4 and BBC Surrey appearances! In 2023, with three other people, we have founded a small charitable organisation called River Mole River Watch. The aim is to improve the health and flow of the River Mole. To do this we are working with stakeholders, custodians, regulators, polluters and the public. We have a team of dedicated testers who have “adopted a river” to monitor and test regularly.
